Assistant Coach: 18 Purple

Although she coached during college, her teaching career began at Metro-East Lutheran in Edwardsville, Illinois, before coming to Indianapolis in 2001. She became the head coach at Indianapolis Lutheran in 2002. Since then, Kathy's teams have earned multiple Sectional titles, Regional titles, Final Four appearances, and a State Runner-Up title. She has been awarded multiple Coach of the Year awards over the years. She also has worked and continues to run camps and clinics for the development of players of all levels. In 2011, Kathy joined the coaching staff at Circle City and has worked with 14's, 16's, 17’s and 18’s. These teams have won multiple tournaments including qualifiers. Two of the teams went on to finish 5th in the open division at USAV Nationals. 

Kathy graduated from Indianapolis Lutheran High School. While playing volleyball, basketball, and softball during high school, volleyball became her passion. Kathy continued to play volleyball and softball in college at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she earned her Secondary Education degree in Physical Education and Physical Science. As both a high school and college athlete, she earned numerous team and individual awards. 

Although Kathy enjoys sharing her passion for volleyball with others, her pride and joy is her husband Brad and their two sons. Kathy is also an Accessory Stylist and represents Premier Designs Jewelry.
