Head Coach: 18 Purple


Scott McQueen will be entering his 22nd year as a coach at Circle City, coaching at least one year in every age group.  This will his 15th year as co-owner of Circle City and 2nd year as the head coach for 18 Purple


Scott’s coaching career started at Martinsville High School and Brebeuf High School before moving to Franklin Community High School as the head coach for 3 years.  His Franklin career culminated in a State Runner-Up finish in 2001.  He spent the next 16 years as the head coach at Avon High School, winning sectionals 16 times, 8 regional championships, 4 semi-state championships, and 3 state championships, including his final year in 2017.  Over his career he has been 4A State Coach of the Year twice, 4A South Coach of the Year 3 times, 4A Central Coach of the Year once, Metro Area South Coach of the Year, Metro Area West Coach of the Year, and conference coach of the year 7 times. 


His club teams have also been successful, qualifying for nationals 21 years, including a top 10 finish with the 13-1s, and top 5 finishes with 14-1s and 18-1s.  His 18 Purple team last year won two qualifiers and finished 5th in the nation at the 2018 GJNC in Anaheim. 


Scott previously played for the University of Indiana Men’s Club team, winning the Big Ten Leadership award his senior year and now resides in Plainfield with his wife, Sara, and two daughters, Kyla and Jaelyn.
